There are numerous options when it comes to choosing a shower. As well as electric showers and power showers, mixer showers are an affordable option that offer many different designs and styles as well as a great range of features and other options. Mixer showers use both hot and cold water from the mains and can offer accurate temperature control, improved even further by the addition of a thermostat with an automatic shut off control.

Mixer showers are considered more beneficial than electric showers primarily because of the flow of water. Where electric showers heat the water as it flows through the system, mixer showers use water from the mains and this means that they can offer a much greater pressure than electric showers and usually without the need for an electric pump, such as those commonly found in power showers.

Mixer showers, then, are an ideal choice for homes that have a good water pressure level and a reasonable mains supply of hot water. Cold and hot water are taken from the mains and then mixed according to your temperature requirements. Additional control can be added with a thermostatically controlled mixer shower and these will often even include an automatic shut off should the water temperature spike.
